Anthony Kiosks are Enhancing Service and Safety at SECU Branches

Our team is announcing the newest implementation of our kiosks in over 271 locations in North Carolina with State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU).

Our Coinstar for Financial team is proud to announce that the State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) is installing Coinstar kiosks at all two hundred and seventy-one SECU locations in North Carolina. The not-for-profit cooperative owned by its members for over 80 years has provided employees of the state of North Carolina and their families with consumer financial services. Their branches offer various financial advisory services, including retirement and education planning, tax preparations, insurance, trust, estate planning, and more. 

“After piloting the Coinstar solution, we knew it was a great option for us,” said Jennifer Hamrick, chief administrative officer, retail operations at SECU. “With our previous equipment, our staff spent time prepping coins for pick-up, balancing the machine, and trouble-shooting machine issues. The physical requirements for lifting heavy coin bags were also a burden on our team. With Coinstar’s turnkey service, Coinstar maintains the kiosk, allowing us to focus on providing excellent member service.” 

With Coinstar’s services, SECU employees will direct their attention to members instead of lifting bags of coin weighing more than 40lbs each or taking up unnecessary time unloading their coin machines. Customer service can now become the main focus of their employees, elevating the in-person banking experience. Not only that but now SECU employees and members are staying safer by minimizing contact with loose change, lessening the spread of viruses and diseases. 

By implementing our Anthony kiosk into all SECU locations, they will provide easy-to-use processes to every site, allowing all SECU members and employees efficiency and confidence with their coin management system. Our team at Coinstar for Financial offers full service and maintenance on our kiosks while handling the coins, allowing SECU employees to stay focused on their over 2.5 million members’ customer service experience.
